Journal paper of bottlenose dolphin in NW Ireland
A research investigation of the distribution, abundance and movement patterns of the bottlenose dolphin in NW Ireland.
The vessel based surveys were conducted using Dúlra na Mara.
Seaweed Farm
Dúlra has a foreshore licence for a 10 ha aquaculture site in Blacksod Bay with easy access to Blacksod pier, adjacent to the planned research field station. We foresee this as being a valuable study asset which would feed into the research activities of the Field Station. Dúlra foreshore licence permits us to grow nine different species of red and brown Algae. We are currently growing Alaria Esculenta ( Winged Kelp ) on site and our first harvest is due in spring 2019
